Program description

Traditional is a Customary and Reasonable fee-for-service program in which benefit payments are made to the patients based on a determined amount (Customary and Reasonable) as specified by Delta Dental.

This program does not have a panel of participating providers and dentists can charge the difference between the fee charged and the determined amount to the patient.

Advantages

The Traditional program allows the purchaser access to a Delta Dental program in areas where we do not have a large number of participating dentists. Since we still apply cost management procedures, purchasers and subscribers can realize some savings.

How payment is made

We'll pay based on the submitted amount or the Customary and Reasonable fee, whichever is less. There are no participating providers in this program. Payment is made directly to the subscriber.
