The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) has announced that MDwise will no longer participate as a managed care entity (MCE) for the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) and Hoosier Healthwise programs, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
As MDwise prepares to cease operations, Delta Dental of Indiana’s priority is to support a smooth transition for Indiana Medicaid providers and patients.

Claims submission: Please submit all claims for dates of service prior to Jan. 1, 2026, to Delta Dental of Indiana. To align with the timely filing requirement, please submit all claims within 90 days of the date of service.

Appeals and prior authorizations: Appeals, prior authorization requests and clinical reviews for services rendered before Jan. 1, 2026, will continue to be processed by Delta Dental of Indiana according to existing guidelines.

Member transition: If your patients have questions about the transition and their plan, refer them to their enrollment broker for assistance.

Provider support: For questions about participation, contracts and fees, please contact your Delta Dental of Indiana provider relations representative for assistance.

Provider customer service: MDwise’s provider call center at 800-356-1204 is available through April 30, 2026, to assist during this transition.
